Congratulations!* Seven Days of 1809 has been nominated as a finalist for the Year 2005 International Gamers Awards in the Historical Simulations category!* This is truly outstanding recognition which is richly deserved.

The International Gamers Awards were created to recognize outstanding games and designers, as well as the companies that publish them.* The awards are truly international in scope, with committee members representing countries throughout the world.* The goal is to give greater exposure for these wonderful games to more and more people and help spread the word of the "wonderful world of gaming" on a global scale.

These awards are designed to recognize outstanding strategy board games in
three categories:* General Strategy Games: Multi-Player, General Strategy
Games: 2-Player and Historical Simulation Games.

The eligibility period for games in the Historical Simulations category is January 1, 2004 - December 31, 2004.

Mark James has created a flash animation of the opening of the 1809 campaign, with units in motion on the game map.

This is based on the text and campaign analysis that we created some months back in still jpegs.
