NEWS FROM MILITARY HISTORY PRESS
From: Dana Lombardy
1 June 2005: Napoleon's Last Grande Armee is now being printed.
When we received the color proofs from the Hong Kong printer, there were a few corrections that needed to be done. We then had to check the corrected pages to make sure they were done properly. In addition, we made a few adjustments to the sample binding the printer sent. This took a few extra weeks, but the book is finally on press and will be hand bound in June. Each book will then be packed in its own special shipping carton before packed in larger cases for shipment by sea. The printer has not yet confirmed an exact ship date from Hong Kong, but we expect to receive books in our Oakland, California, warehouse in late June or early July, depending on loading and unloading schedules, customs, etc. See actual pages from the 1813 uniform book by clicking on the link on our home page: www.militaryhistorypress.com
-Check out this situation map for August 1813 from the book:
http://www.militaryhistorypress.com/GrandeArmee/intro/10-11-screen.pdf
This book will make an excellent companion reader to Four Lost Battles.
NEW WARGAME PUBLISHER IN FRANCE
www.pratzen.com
From: Didier Rouy
Our baby is born... the name is Pratzen Editions, a french tiny tiny
publishing company. Please check our website, it is fully translated now .
As you will see, our four first games are all napoleonics, four different
scales, but more projects, both napoleonic and others, will come. We will see
what happens, we base it on a pre-order system, and with the french market only we have a total of 150 games pre-ordered.
[Ed sez: I first met Didier in 1999, when he helped me to locate the bridge
at La Cour de France which is shown in the picture on page 31 of Napoleon at
Bay study folder (1st edition), during our Napoleonic Tour.]
