What about a game on the French and Indian War?
Major fighting covered an area of 1100 miles from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to somewhere in Ohio, during a nine-year conflict.
Has someone done a game like that? Columbia?
P.S. We have a backlog of about 150 pre-orders to register. Maybe we can post some new tallies in the next month...

Kevin, have you thought about a very napoleonic-in-style polish-russian war.
I think mainly of a very impressive (in plans and first-period) Polish Spring Offensive (III-IV 1831), Expedition against Russian Guard Corps (V 1831). Both polish strikes have very good chance to success because of good plans&preparations (plans' author was General Pradzynski - General Quatermaster of Polish Army) and an excellent quality of soldiers, but failed of Commander-in-Chief Skrzynecki's indolency.
What do you think about it.

Hi.
We have not only thought of it, we even have a prototype designed by Jarek Andruszkiewicz, from Warszawa.

That will be very, very good material for a good game!!!
Some specific campaign or whole war?

How about the whole war, with scenarios for each campaign?

Wallensteinie, coś taki egzotyczny, nie lepiej pokazać światu jak mogliśmy carską armię stłuc!?

The Polish-Russian 1831 War project was abandoned, there were 'napoleonic troops', but they were fighting more like 'pre-revolution' armies. It would give no fun playing with all major generals on both sides with 2 and 3 initiative...generally 1831 war is not good topic for game cause it was not possible to win by Polish side due to lack of ANY good general.
Stay with Napoleonic times ;)

What scale, 1x? 5x?
Or something comletly new?

If it was a one-map game the hex scale would have to be about 20 miles.

Ok, but something similiar to campaign series or something completly new?
Maybe two maps and scale like for HttK (10 miles per hex)?
Turn progres - months? Seasons?
What unit scale? Regiments?
Of course using FOW.
Definitly this title is worth to be created !!!!

It would be better to say Coomanders-in-Chief (Krukowiecki i Skrzynecki), good divisioners had we, I think, several (Szembek, Chłapowski, Rybiński, Bem, Prądzyński). But it would be a fun idea to know what-if Skrzynecki would give only one order to attack at Śniadowo. Manouvering of polish side was big surprise for Russians here and in April 1831. It felt only one order to win and destroy elite of Russian Army

Polish language characters are not coming out well on my browser. Is there some way that you know of that we can allow this site to display them properly?

Kevin,
Use central european coding iso-8859 ... I use Opera browser and it setup up automaticly best coding....
Leliwa,
1X is corps level (and detechments level) game, so only major generals would be shown, most of them 2 and 3 rating. So it is rather less-playable war. It would be long and boring (little AP, most activation by initiative and with such poor generals it would be horror to make ANY coordinated attack).

A game on the French and Indian War would be interesting and I would most probably buy it if it was a one map game.

I would seriously consider buying that game, as I would operational games of the various campaigns of the American Revolution and maybe a strategic look at Napoloeon's endeavors in the Middle East. The battles of Zurich, Vinkovo, and Maloyaroslavets strike me as fascinating as well, although there is no shortage of such events in the era...
