In Games section NaB and 1809 pictures are not in the same column as pictures of other games.
Pictures of counters in BiI, HttK and LDGA should be smaller, like it is in NaB section.
Just this few little things

Guys-
We need a banner for the new game. I had about one hour to put into this. I know nothing about Photoshop, so I just let things happen. It's kind of surreal! I like it. Your opinion?

This one was created by Nico.

Just my opinion, but I think most gamers have a hard time with surreal art. I like the second one better, but I would lose the pink inline.

Martin,
That reminds me - I wanted to use a Jackson Pollock as the background to the box cover.

What is a 'Jackson Pollack' and what would make it such a good backround?

Redmond Simonsen once wrote a column for S&T entitled "The Pink Panzer." He discussed the choice of colors in the early Avalon Hill Games. Even though he made a good point, those early games had a feel of their own, very comfortable. The Pink and Blue in the 4LB immediately reminded me of the typical colors of the two armies in the AH Games.
The 2nd banner will be appearing at http://grognard.com starting with the next update.

1. Home page redo says the same thing in less space, so that the box cover will be visible without scrolling down (hope). Also added a sale for "Seven Days of 1809" (20%-off through 6/30/2005). This sale offer is being mailed out to 16,000 grognards through Omega Games' list.
2. Note new boxcover (final art) from Knut Grunitz at the Homepage and at /4.html - reduced to fit on home page, left in its full size glory on the 4LB page (/4.html) *
3. Updated file of 4LB pre-orders added - date changed to 4/22 *

Nico-
Thanks! Knut just finished the back of the box. We seem to be on target to get all the main components to the printer in May.
I am thinking of changing the top line on the box. Currently it says: "Inspired by the Napoleon's Last Battles TM System"
Suggested change:
"Four Napoleonic Battles at the Grand Tactical Level, Series 0.15X"
Would it be o.k. to confuse some people a little? If they have a copy of Sun of Austerlitz in front of them then it will be clear...

I officially pronounce that cool.
Wouldn't life be interesting if we could get a flash animation wargame? There is a company out there putting the framework together to do this very thing. I don't have the link, but I think their first project is GMT's "A World at War".
I have ideas of my own ... Kevin is my guinea pig ... errr ... associate in that project.
By the way, any feedback on the animation is much appreciated. I am a flash novice and learning as I go. I want to add user interaction such as a pause, rewind, fastforward and the like. Please send you comments to me at spudbox@comcast.net

Mark and I are talking about finishing the 1809 campaign animation with a voice over. This idea has a lot of potential.

Might I suggest Gerard Depardu for the French voice and Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Austrian. :)I think Arnold from his Conan days would be perfect!
Now we need a good soundtrack in the background. Any ideas on what would be suitably Napoleonic? If this thing isn't being sold any problem with Copyrighted music? I see many fan films out there using copyrighted music and I don't think they have any problems.
The big picture of course is getting to the point where you have the "designer in the box" Kevin doing a tutorial voice-over. Or Uma Thurman. Whichever.

Speaking of website updates, is there a way to 'mark all messages as read' so that when I click on one of the email notification links I get automatically directed to the newest unread post in the thread? As it is now, I am directed to the first posting of the thread and then have to figure out which page to go to to find the new post(s).
