OSG's 2006 Release...
NAPOLEON AT THE CROSSROADS
The Highway to Leipzig, Autumn 1813

This game is on the drawing table and follows the Campaigns of Napoleon System. We're calling it "2X." Very similar to the "1X" Series it is actually 6 km (3.75 miles) per hex and covers the whole theatre on one 22" x 34" map, with 280 counters. This project was helped along by a Patron who pledged $1,000 under our Contributors Program http://www.napoleongames.com/contrib.html

ALL IS LOST SAVE HONOR is also scheduled for release in 2006 by OSG Europe.

Kevin,

When do you expect NAPOLEON AT THE CROSSROADS to be published?

PS: I noted your recent dust-up with Peter Hofschroer at Consimworld. It reminded me of some of the wrestling matches I've seen at NapolelonSeries.Com. It's remarkable...to me anyway...that the Napoleonic Wars can still generate such passion after two hundred years. I can understand...sort of....why Americans can still tear into each other when talking about the Civil War, but Boney & Co. should be far enough removed that we can all study the subject with a certain measure of objectivity.

Care to comment?

Jeffrey,

Publication date is an official secret.

I wouldn't call it a dust up. Barely a disagreement... Anyway it should not be surprising. Hofschroer's method is quite consciously to stir up controversy, as a means of attaining notariety (and sales). Either Hofschroer is unable, or does not care, to comment upon the extensive list of interpolations that one reader has noted in his latest book.

A secret publication date?? Okay....but can you let us know how soon we should order?

I have a couple of Hofschroer's books. Some interesting stuff, but also some parts that read like Napoleon Meets The X-Files. I doubt that I'll ever see him as a replacement for more well-established scholars.

Kevin,

Do You have general idea how would counters look like in NAC?
If You are interested about my opinion, I think from all CNS games the TETE 1807 had the 'nicest' unit counters:).

Hi Nico-

We will follow our style for Nap at the Crossroads. Our counters are designed people who actually play the games.

Kevin,

So it will be somewhat new style of map & counters or it will be like previous CNS games - Napoleon at Bay?

Can we see any artwork, maps, pictures of 'test' game :) ?

Nico-
Thanks for writing. Joe Youst is doing the map. He's a creative guy, so it should be great. He may have some new ideas. Can't show you the map til it's done!
