I think that is a big mistake to make this game in 5x scale, I think that is better (because peninsular armies are more little than central europa armies) to make many games about the peninsular war, I think that the first may have maps from Madrid to Lisboa to make 1809, 1810, 1811 and 1812 Wellington again Frenchs Campaings, and after you can make more expasions of counters and maps to make all the peninsular Campaign.
I think (and many friends too) that this scale is too big.
Well I wait some good answer.
Thank you

Hi Daniel,
I think it will be o.k. at this scale. We will make an allowance for the smaller size of the armies. Probably we will retain 1 SP = 1,000 men for this game.

If you think highway to the Kremlin is a tough row to hoe, just think about this one. There is almost no where to forage. Guerillas spring up everywhere. The bloody British army is operating from Portugal and can be plucked from the coast if they get in a tight spot. The French LOC almost certainly will come from France. And if the full campaign or campaigns extends through many a year (1808-1814) French troops will be withdrawn at the odd interval. Of course, if there are a series of long scenarios covering the campaigns, then there will be a waxing of numbers.
And Soult (Soult!) will be the best the French have. He'll have more command span than Suchet. Marmont won't have enough initiative to be dependable
I wonder what Kevin will rate the Duke as? A Five? I like misery, so I'm looking forward to the birth of this one:D.

Hey Roger,
We are considering publishing this in installments, probably starting with 1809.

Maybe a more nightmarish year 1812-1813:eek:!

The reason for selecting the year 1809 is simply because those fans of Napoleon who want to have that Napoleon counter on the map.
