LoC & Standard rules

Hello

I just want clear up one thing about the LoC on the Standard rules.

I perfectly understand the line nu. 55 «A LoC ia a connected line no longer than 18 primary road hexes, free of ennemy road hexes, free of ennemy force»- No problem there.


The problem for me comes with nu. 56. «This line must run from an active Friendly Supply Source to withthin five (5) hexes of the friendly force of the Friendly Force.» It doesn`t make sens to me; either the limit of a LoC is 18 primary road hexes or it is the 5 hexes within the supply source and the Friendly force.

[56] This line must run from an active Friendly Supply Source to within five (5) hexes of the Friendly force.

That means it can be for 18 hexes on road and then can depart from the road.
