The writing is going well. I have set the stage for the battles. I have only 43 pages of text and 28 pages of Appendices to finish. I still need to acquire some source material from German archives. Andres Mujica sent this very good suggestion...
"The Berliner Zinnfiguren is a specialized military books and miniatures shop. I have noticed what seems to be some very detailed accounts of the campaign -
"See for example K.H. Bichler, Napoleon krieg gegen Preussen und Sachsen 1806. Schleiz, Saalfeld, Jena und Auerstedt. Or the book by Lettow-Vorbeck- Der Krieg von 1806 und 1807.
"The full series of books by Thiers can be obtained from the French government online library at www.galliga.fr. And along with this a lot of other interesting period texts (de Segur memories come to my mind), all of them in French.

"In your search about the book "Tagebuch während des Krieges zwischen Rußland und Preußen einerseits und Frankreich andererseits in den Jahren 1806 und 1807" von Carl v. Plotho.
There is a little publishing house that plans a reprint of that book.

We will be playing the 1806 game as an aide to the writing of the battle chapter ... This will take place on the 203rd anniversary of the opening of the campaign, the Battle of Saalfeld on the 10th of October, here at OSG IHQ. Please email for more information if you'd like to attend.

Did you receive our postcard in August? Please type your zip code (or Country if overseas) and the approximate date in the NOTES section of your order and we will send a refund of 5%-off of retail. Or shoot us an an email if you are not ordering. IMPORTANT: Let us know if you did NOT receive the postcard. (We think about 31% were never delivered, especially to US zip codes 90001 + up, and overseas.) If you live on the West Coast or Overseas and you DID receive the postcard, that would be useful for us to know.

This is a most interesting design, not only because it was co-created with Mark Herman ... the greatest feature of this design is one that many grognards are afraid of... We have sold 1207 copies, with 300 copies remaining. This enews has been sent to 2105 customer emails, thus at least 900 on this list do NOT own the game... I want to see this game not only selling, but playing... Take the plunge... One look at the new Movement Commands & you won't look back!
