Kevin We have a problem of interpretation of move rules for vedettes.
so a short question
During a turn, vedettes of phasing player can move :
1/ during movement command phase (even if no MC is spent), and initiative movement OR
2/ during initiative movement only
thanks

In order to be truly effective, vedettes have to be able to move either during the MC or the Init. Segments. Hope that helps. I am glad you are playing the game...

Hello kevin
I use the same thread for my next questions :
We use reserve rules in SOA
1/ there is combat between austrian 1 in clear terrain austrian 2 in town (both forces are non adjacent) agaisnt french. Everybody choose pitch, french because he has reserves, ausrian because part of the force is in a town.
French attacks. Austrian counter attacks but as 1 et 2 are not adjacent, only austrian 1 in clear terrain is used. As it is in clear terrain, can the force continue to use pitch option (no reserve) or battle becomes automatically pursuit for it?

2/ during another battle, french choose pitch and has reserve. During the counter attack of the round 2, french releases all his remaining units in reserve. Does the battle become automatically pursuit for french (Waterloo case?)

thanks

Hi,
Sorry I did not see the questions sooner!

The answers: Yes and Yes again.
As usual, you can make a house rule if your opponent agrees, especially for question 1. I can see why you asked it.
