To get the 30% or 20% discount you need the SPECIAL OFFERS section on the OSG Store order form (click here ...)
http://www.napoleongames.com/store.html#SO
Because the paypal store isn't set-up to handle percentages we averaged three games at $109 or $79 for two games. Discount is based on the full retail price. Three for $109 is AT LEAST 30% off, but could be more if you order the more expensive items.
We based the "average" two-game discount on Seven Days of 1809 ($56) and Bonaparte in Italy ($44).
The three game discount is based on 1806 ($48), Sun of Austerlitz ($52), and Seven Days of 1809 ($56). If you order three copies of Seven Days—$168 retail—the discount is 35%.
You can include ANY GAME EXCEPT La Guerre de l'Empereur in your three- or two-game special.

Sorry about the email problem. Good to hear from you. Do you have a freight consolidator in the U.S.?
Try kzucker@charm.net - We have dealer terms. They are described in the attachment.

Although technically expired, you'll able to continue to order the two- and three-game specials (at $109 for three and $79 for two games), until the next website update (when it will be updated depends on our Web Admin's schedule).
After the update our store will continue to show a three game offer for $117 and two games for $89 (through 1/31/05).

We can offer these wooden counter holders through our website (see attached). The offer would be two sets of 25 holders (total of 50 pieces) for $22.95 plus $6 shipping. We've used these and they work nicely with our low counter density games.
We are going to try an initial order but we would like to have an idea of the interest in this product. Let us know. Thank You.

I don't find the counter sleds thread... meanly because it was in another thread, my fault. :p
Did you finally receive my mail with the info regarding the counter sleds? I'm interested in a pack. And for all of you: hey, you are going to win time playing with the sleds, and time is gold, try them. ;)

Hi Edgar,
Thanks for posting. I am preparing an order for these sleds but I need to know what sort of demand exists for them. I don't want a lot of wooden toys taking up space. Let me hear from you.
They are great for Kevin's games.
Highly recommended here.

I would order a couple of sets.
I'd order a few sets as well.
I'd think they'd sell pretty well as they come up on consimworld every now and then, and people always ask where they can get them from (kinda like counter-cutting jigs).

How do you use the counter sleds without obscuring the front of the counter, and how do you keep the counters in place. I thought the idea was to use something like the countersleds used in GMT´s Napoleonic Wars, but in clear plastic instead of black.
I would like to see som pictures of the wooden countersleds in use before I order(which I will probably do anyway :) )
Does anybody have zoomed in pictures of countersleds in use?

Hi Brian,
There is a picture at the Homer Games site http://store.homergames.com/rdx-100.html
Gravity holds the counters in place. The front of the counter is obscured by the portion of the wooden sled that faces the opponent.
I just noticed that Homer Games is listing the counter sleds for $29.95 or so for 100 pieces. That is a better price than the folks at RDOXX offered us, so I guess the thing to do is just buy them from Homer Games ... I can't see that it makes any sense for us to carry them at the $22 / 50 price.

Sandi's price is better, but they are out of stock (and have been for months).
kzucker
01-31-2005, 03:33 PM
Martin,
I queried the manufacturer on this point, and he said that was the old price and wasn't valid anymore. Old price per sled was $0.29 - new price is $0.45, an increase of 55%. I am negotiating for a better price...
Edgar

Kevin,
I wrote to you a month ago about the countersleds. As I don't know if you received the mail (I had some problems before with your address) I'm posting here what the RDOXX guys said to me:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The sleds are available in sets of 50 & 100 or we can make a custom size set if you desire...
Retail Price
$ 17.75 per 50 pk
$ 29.75 per 100 pk
--------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems that with the new year they have charged the prices, who knows.

Every online source I can find for these sleds has discontinued them. I managed to snag 50 from bouldergames a couple of months ago, but I need to get another 200 or so (I want to paint them up, so I need several sets). Sign me up for two sets, Kevin!

Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement to distribute the counter sleds. Maybe the manufacturers will help you to find an online source for their product. Give them a try. "RDOXX Inc" <rdoxx@houston.rr.com>
Thanks to all who expressed an interest in this idea. I am sorry it didn't work out.

I make Counter Sleds. I would be happy to answer questions and provide pricing or photos.
I'm sorry that some of you have had problems finding the product in stock. I do have them available for delivery now.
The prices have recently been increased; it's the first increase since 2000. There is also a discount for buying beyond the first 50, and a discount for a second order for providing feedback/experience/photos of the product in use.

Your best discount on our upcoming game, "Four Lost Battles," will be expiring as soon as we have accepted a print bid for the project. At that time we will be able to set the exact retail price and remove the title from our P-250 list. Then a 20% pre-pub discount will be the best price.
If you know you want to order this game, now is the time to send in your pre-pub. Please see the "PRE-ORDER 250" page.

Kevin,
Is there a way to check what I have pre-ordered already or should I (or anybody else too disorganized to keep track) just use the pre-order form and hope to not get duplicates? My fear is that by using the form again, I will add to your workload unnecessarily.
Marty

03-06-2005, 02:53 PM
Hi Martin,
Thanks for your thoughts. There is no way for you to access your pre-order file other than by email. But the most efficient way (for us) is if you just create a new pre-order whenever you want, checking-off every game you are interested in. In the 'Notes' section of the form you can indicate "Revised Pre-Order replaces all previous pre-orders entirely." Then we will just cancel all the old pre-orders in your name. That way you can be sure of what you have pre-ordered.
As you may recall we tried having an interactive database with all the pre-orders and customer information. That database wasn't designed properly, and it never worked properly, it was a real fiasco.
When we get a bit closer to release on "Four Lost Battles," we will publish a spreadsheet with all the orders for that particular game, that you can download (.pdf) from this website. This list, sorted by name, will be the definitive list of all the 30%-off orders. We will zero-out any duplicates at that time. For instance, if we see that you have ordered the game on two separate occasions, we will change one of them to a zero.

If you haven't ordered yet, you can still get 4LB for $61 plus shipping. That's $15.25 per game., if you disregard the most interesting Campaign Game.
Four Lost Battles is an update of the classic NLB/NAL system, introducing Hidden Movement, Baggage Trains, Pontoon and Bridge Trains, and other rules from the "Days" Series. Set at the same scale as Napoleon’s Last Battles -480 meters per hex and one hour turns- the game retains the Command System of Commanders and Corps "Officers."
Most important are the two decks of 48 cards which are used to activate Alternative Reinforcements and other changes of the Reinforcement schedule. These become especially pronounced in the Campaign Game, as any French level of Victory at Grossbeeren or Katzbach will bring extra troops in on the Kulm battlefield..
Rules:
• Cavalry Charge: All Cavalry except Vedettes may make a cavalry charge, resolved on the Cavalry Charge Table
• Combat Strength: One SP equals between 350 and 800 men. Infantry and cavalry were evaluated on a sliding scale, from 350 men per point for the Garde Impériale, to 800 men per point for the Landwehr and trained militia; the "good" infan-try were around 500. Anything 600 or above would be poor quality. Cavalry are all rated between 400 and 500 to the strength point.
• Combined Arms: An attacking force with infantry, cavalry and artillery gains a combat odds shift.
• Initiative: Used to determine whether or not Officers and Units may move when they are not In Command (see 2.11).
• Leaders: Commanders and Officers, including their staffs, necessary to link all parts of the army to its Chain of Command
• March Order: A March Order allows a Force to move during the Friendly Command Movement Segment regardless of Command Range
The printed Movement Allowance on the unit counter represents the "normal" • Movement Allowance for units of that type. However, the actual Movement Allowance will vary
• Repulse: When moving forces attempt to displace enemy units out of their path. In order for a Repulse to succeed the moving force must have [5:1] odds (
• Road March: In order to benefit from road terrain costs a unit must be in "Road March." Units in Road March may not stack.
• Supply Line: A Line of up to [16] connected hexes from a Combat Unit to a Baggage Train, thence along road or trail hexes to a printed supply source.
Train Units: Artillery, Pontoon Trains and Baggage Trains pay double the normal terrain movement costs during Thunderstorm and Mud.
• Units Awaiting Reorganization box [UAR box]: A holding area for combat units which have been eliminated in combat, including those currently recovered and eligible for reorganization (see 6.12).
• Vedettes: Vedettes provide your scouting and screening abilities. Light Cavalry units can be broken-down into a number of Vedettes.

As a small vote of thanks for participants in our P-350 program, we have reinstated the 30% discount for everyone who registered a pre-order for "Napoleon at the Crossroads" while the game was on the P-350 pre-order page.
That means you can still confirm at the old pre-pub $37 for this $53 game if you have an "existing" pre-order dated prior to June 2006.
Check the pdf at our store page to see if you have an existing pre-Order. There are still 62 folks who have a pre-order that isn't confirmed (no green tint). If you are one of them, please get in touch with your preferred payment method at your earliest convenience.
If you don't have an existing pre-order you can still take advantage of our 20% discount ($11 off).
Also note: Summer Sale includes $11-off on Charles Roberts Award Nominee "Four Lost Battles," as well as two Campaigns of Napoleon bundles.
