Napoleon at Leipzig

The Battle of Nations, October 13-19, 1813

Napoleon at Leipzig is a comprehensive game with a proven track record of excellent re-playability, among the most popular Napoleonic wargames of all time with 20,000 copies in print across the first 4 editions. Now it has a bigger playing area and more manpower for both sides, all working within a smooth and efficient engine of 19th-century warfare.

Liebertwolkwitz, Epic Cavalry Battle, 14 Oct.

Wachau-Mockern, Fire on Two Fronts, 16 Oct.

Leipzig, Triple Envelopment, 17-18 Oct.

NEW! Hanau, Grande Armee in Retreat, 29-30 Oct
During the retreat after Leipzig one Bavarian and one Austrian corps were sent to block Napoleon's escape.

Wachau-Möckern

As the rain stopped the Russians and Prussians attacked to the west of the University Wood, towards Liebertwolkwitz. The French attacks on Grosspösna went badly, with V Corps becoming demoralised. As the Allies pushed north they exposed their right flank. Fierce attacks saw the Imperial Guard cavalry push back the Allied cavalry, the Prussians drove back the Young Guard, who in turn pushed back the Russian Guard. MacDonald’s attack on Grosspösna forced the Austrians back into the wood. The Allies came on, the French Imperial Guard cavalry being routed, and the Russian and Prussian Guard pushing into Liebertwolkwitz and the Galgenberg, driving back the Old and Young Guard and II Corps. The Austrians in the University Wood took advantage of the French line being stretched, sallied and retook Grosspösnaa at the end of the day. The French managed to hold Liebertwolkwitz, but night saw the Russian Guard camped on the end of the Galgenberg, with the Young Guard and the Guard Cavalry having been badly weakened.
